Adding ed to the verbs

the past simple tense is used to talk about action that happened in the past.
the form:
by adding ed,d or ied to the end of the verb

adding ed to the verb which ended with consonant
ex
visit visited
looked looked
but some verbs which ends with litters like
(b, p, l,m,n,v) we should double the last letter and add the [ed]
ex.
grab grabbed
travel travelled
stop stopped
slam slammed
plan planned
rev revved
the verbs which end with [c] we add ked to the end ofthe verb
ex. panic panked

the verbs that are ended with [e] we just add [d]
ex.
live lived
practise practised
revise revised
when the verb ends with [y] before a consonant we change the [y] to i[i] and add [ed]
study studied
carry carried
